The economy of the Republic of Serbia, despite numerous challenges, continued to record moderate growth in 2024 and maintained a ten-year streak of profitable operations. This was significantly supported by the one hundred business entities with the highest operating revenues and the one hundred business entities with the highest net profits, according to the Report on the TOP 100... Companies in 2024, which was published today on the Serbian Business Registers Agency’s website.

The Report on the TOP 100... Companies in 2024 presents, along with the analysis, the top one hundred companies entities ranked by operating income, net profit, total assets and equity, net loss, and total loss.

The one hundred companies with the highest operating incomes in 2024 generated 28.6% of the total operating incomes of the entire economy, accounting for 25.8% of key financial performance indicators and employing 16.5% of the total workforce across all companies. Large systems dominated this group (99 out of 100), with only one being a medium-sized company. The most represented were companies from Section C – Manufacturing (34), while the highest total operating incomes were achieved by companies operating in Section G – Wholesale and retail trade... (33). A total of 89 companies retained their place on the list from the previous year, with 62 of them increasing their operating incomes year-over-year.

The one hundred companies with the highest net profit generated 37.6% of the total net profit of the entire economy, contributing on average 23.2% to the main financial performance indicators and employing 10.5% of the total workforce. In terms of high profitability, large companies stood out the most (85), while small (three) and micro enterprises (five) showed significant growth in net profit. The list includes the highest number of companies from Section C – Manufacturing (34), while companies from Section B – Mining and quarrying (seven) reported the highest total net profit. A total of 72 companies from last year’s list remained among the most profitable this year.

Out of 113,463 companies whose data from the regular annual financial statements for 2024 were analyzed in terms of business performance, financial capacity, and losses, a total of 347 companies were ranked on the SBRA’s TOP 100... lists, as those with the greatest impact on the core financial performance of the economy.
