The Decree on shifting the deadlines for holding the regular session of the general meeting of a company and submitting annual and consolidated financial statements of companies, cooperatives, other legal entities and sole proprietors, as well as the deadlines for submission of applications for income tax and self-employment income tax, the validity of licensed auditors' licenses and licenses for assessing the value of real estate that expire during the state of emergency resulting from the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 57/2020) stipulates, inter alia, shifting of the deadlines for submission of financial statements referred to in Article 33 of the Law on Accounting (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 62/2013 and 30/2018), so that:
- the deadline for submission of the regular annual financial statement shall expire not later than 90 days from the date of termination of the state of emergency;
- the deadline for submission of the consolidated annual financial statements shall expire not later than 120 days from the date of termination of the state of emergency;
- the deadline for submission of the extraordinary financial statement shall expire not later than 30 days from the date of termination of the state of emergency, provided that the deadline for submission of the extraordinary financial statements expire during the state of emergency.
The deadline for submission of the regular annual financial statement referred to in paragraph 1 shall apply accordingly to the legal entities having a business year other than the calendar year, provided that the deadline for submission of the financial statements of those legal entities expires during the state of emergency.
Immediately upon termination of the state of emergency, the Serbian Business Registers Agency will publish a precise calendar of deadlines by which legal entities and sole proprietors shall be required to submit their financial statements to the Agency.
