The largest number of sectors in 2023 operated with a greater reliance on financial resources, predominantly utilized by the processing industry sector, which owns more than a fifth of the total business assets of the economy and approximately the same amount of capital. The most pronounced growth of financial capacities was recorded in the information and communication sector, whose business assets increased by 20.2%, and capital by 18.2% compared to the previous year.

This is to inform the parent legal entities which have fulfilled the obligation to submit their 2023 Consolidated Annual Financial Statement (CAFS) that the deadline for submitting the documentation accompanying the CAFS, as prescribed by Article 45 of the Law on Accounting, expires on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.

The economy continued to operate profitably in 2023, with the strengthening of financial capacities and a slight positive tendency in terms of indebtedness and liquidity, as announced in the "Annual Report on the Performance of the Economy in 2023", available on the Agency's website.

The overall business activity in the Republic of Serbia intensified in 2023, with gross domestic product growth remaining at the previous year's level of 2.5%. Industrial production grew at the same rate of 2.5%, which in 2022 grew at a rate of 1.7%.
