The Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA), presented a single and publicly available database of state-owned enterprises, registered with the SBRA's Business Entities Register. This innovative digital platform will enable data transparency, facilitating simple and fast data search.

The new Law on Accounting, applicable starting from financial statements that are to be compiled as at 31 December 2021, prescribes some of the following novelties: financial statements and documentation shall be submitted separately and within different deadlines; new financial statements and notes to the financial statements are introduced depending on the size of the obliged entity; documentation shall be filed only by entities that have a duty to audit their financial statements; new documentation is introduced for certain groups of obliged entities; so-called corrected financial statements are introduced and shall be filed by obliged entities that have a duty to audit their financial statements.

Pursuant to the amended laws on companies and business registration procedure, the Serbian Business Registers Agency will enable electronic registration of all business entities through a user application for the reception of electronic applications and electronic documents signed with a qualified electronic signature, facilitating electronic payment of registration fees.

A session of the Property and Investment Alliance, an expert working body of NALED, was held at the Serbian Business Registers Agency. The Alliance deals with issues related to business operations of companies, bankruptcy, enforcement proceedings and civil procedures, pledge right, land rights conversion, planning and construction, property taxes and other related topics.
