As of the beginning of 2021, the Serbian Business Registers Agency will start issuing excerpts and certificates from its Central Records of Beneficial Owners.

The Agency will be issuing excerpts containing data on the beneficial owners of the 'Registered entities' (i.e. legal entities and other entities registered in the Republic of Serbia).

Interested parties will also be enabled to obtain certificates from the Central Records containing historical data on the beneficial owners of the registered enteritis (the so-called 'certificate for a registered entity'), as well as certificates confirming that a particular natural person is or was registered as the beneficial owner of the registered entity (the so-called 'certificate for a natural person').

Interested parties can apply for excerpts and/or certificates electronically  through the Centralized User Login System of the Agency (in which case the fee for the issuance of an excerpt or certificate is paid electronically), or in writing, on a special application form, which is available on the Agency's website.

When applying for excerpts and/or certificates in a written form, proof of payment of the fee for the issuance of an excerpt or certificate shall be attached to the application.

Given the fact that the Agency can issue an excerpt or certificate in the form of an electronic document or paper form, the applicant has the opportunity to choose the form in which the document he applied for will be issued to him.

When applying in writing, directly in the Agency's business premises in Belgrade or any of its organizational units, paper form excerpts will be obtained immediately, while paper form certificates will be issued within 2 days from the submission of the application.

An excerpt or certificate ordered through the centralized user login system of the Agency, will be issued in electronic form and will be available for download immediately after the payment of the fee.
