The website and web server of the Serbian Business Registers Agency were the target of Distributed Denial-of-Service-DDoS attacks aimed at disrupting the Agency's network services.

The DDoS attacks were aimed at overloading the web server, in order to prevent users from accessing the eServices of the Agency. Data were not the target of these attacks, so the databases managed by the Agency were not compromised.

The perpetrators of these attacks, who were from various countries around the world, flooded the Agency's website, which caused occasional weak functioning of the website, e-mails, and web services.

This is to inform the public that the Agency managed to defend the system from attacks on Monday (27 March) and enabled access to all its web services, with occasional interruptions. However, today the system is operating without difficulties.

Furthermore, 15,500 financial statements were submitted through the special information system for compiling and submitting financial statements on Monday, but the Agency also received all other electronic applications submitted by users through other web services of the SBRA.

The SBRA has reported the DDoS attacks to the National Center for the Prevention of Security Risks in ICT Systems (National CERT) and to the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
