Five legal entities with the status of social entrepreneurship are currently registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency. According to their legal form, two are companies, two are associations and one is a cooperative, registered as a tourist-social cooperative.

The companies which are registered as social enterprises have as their registered activity for retail trade by mail or via the Internet and for the manufacture of paper items for personal and household use. These companies have founded associations which are oriented towards the field of education and prevention in the fight against child abuse and improvement of the rights and positions of persons with disabilities, primarily persons with mental development disabilities and their families.

The associations registered with the status of social entrepreneurship are oriented towards supporting people with autism and other vulnerable groups, as well as towards social, health and socially inclusive work for the benefit of people with disabilities in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The tourist-social cooperative is registered for the activity of resorts and similar facilities for short-term stays.

As of 15 November 2022, the Law on Social Entrepreneurship enabled all legal entities and entrepreneurs, that are registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency, to register the status of social entrepreneurship, based on their activities of general public interest, in order to create new and innovative opportunities for solving social problems, problems of individuals and socially sensitive groups, as well as preventing the emergence and elimination of the consequences of social exclusion, strengthening social cohesion and solving other problems in local communities, or in society as a whole.
