As of 1 January 2021, the Serbian Business Registers Agency will start keeping the Register of Accounting Services Providers, as a single, centralized, electronic database of legal entities and sole proprietors whose registered core business activity is to provide accounting services. They must hold a permit to provide such services, which is issued by the Chamber of Certified Auditors.
The Register of Accounting Services Providers is a completely new register established by the Law on Accounting. It shall keep data on accounting services providers as a special category of legal entities and sole proprietors, which did not exist as such before the entry into force of the said law.
To be considered eligible for providing accounting services, these entities must meet special requirements, i.e. they must hold a permit to provide accounting services, issued by the Chamber of Certified Auditors, and must be registered with the SBRA’s Register of Accounting Services Providers.
Bearing in mind that these are important novelties, these legal entities and sole proprietors are allowed to harmonize their business operations with the provisions of the said law by 1 January 2023. By that date, all entities wishing to continue performing the aforesaid activities must obtain a permit from the Chamber and be registered with the Register of Accounting Services Providers.
The Agency's website section ‘Registers’/’Accounting Services Providers’ contains all information related to keeping the Register, instructions for filing applications for registration with the Register, as well as application forms for registration of changes, the elements of which are integrated into a special software designed by the Agency.
Aiming at digitizing as many services as possible, the Serbian Business Registers Agency hereby informs its customers that the Financial Leasing Register will shift to a fully digital mode of operation as of 1 January 2021.
In addition to e-filing of applications for registration of financial leasing contracts, e-filing of all other types of registration applications with the Financial Leasing Register will also be enabled as of the New Year.
Customers are enabled to electronically file all registration applications thanks to the project “Improvement and development of the e-registration system in the Financial Leasing Register”, which was implemented during 2019 and 2020. A service enabling downloading of data and documents has also been developed within this project, as well as a service designed for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior, which will enable e-filing of authorizations required for the registration of vehicles purchased through financial leasing.
All information about the e-registration services of the Financial Leasing Register will be published on the page ‘Financial Leasing Register’, as well as in the section ‘e-Services’ of the page ‘Services of the Serbian Business Registers Agency’.
