Out of the total number of sole proprietors and limited liability companies (LLCs) established in the first nine months of this year, 8.1% were incorporated using the SBRA’s eRegistration services.

The eRegistration services for incorporation of single- and multi-member LLCs and sole proprietors are available through a centralized log-in system of the Serbian Business Registers Agency.

To be able to submit an e-application for incorporation, an applicant is required to create a user’s account in the SBRA’s centralized log-in system and hold a qualified electronic certificate (electronic signature), as well as to install an electronic card reader and the NexU application for electronic signing, which is available via the Agency’s website www.apr.gov.rs.

The applicant should also have a payment card to be able to pay the eRegistration fee, which is lower than the one prescribed for the paper format incorporation.

The eRegistration application enables the applicant to download the e-Incorporation certificate issued upon completion of the procedure. The certificate can also be emailed to the applicant provided that he registered his email account with the Agency.

The SBRA comparative data show that the number of users of this electronic service of the Agency increased in 2020 compared to 2019. The increase in the number of limited liability companies and sole proprietors incorporated electronically was especially significant since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and in particular during the declared state of emergency when the SBRA service windows were closed.

The share of sole proprietors and limited liability companies that opted for electronic incorporation during the first nine months of 2019 was 4.4% and 3% respectively.
