In 2021, the Agency received 145,500 different types of applications and submissions through the eConstruction permits system, 19% more than in 2020.

A total of 30,221 permits were issued for the construction and execution of works on facilities, of which 7,725 permits for the construction of new facilities, 1,372 permits for the extension, i.e. additions to and reconstruction of existing facilities, 116 temporary construction permits and 21,008 permits for the execution of works.

More than 3,000 permits were issued for the construction, extension and reconstruction of residential and residential-business facilities and about 1,000 permits for the construction, extension and reconstruction of industrial buildings, warehouses and business facilities. At the same time, a total of 15,725 location requirements and 5,640 occupancy permits were issued in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

According to the number of issued permits for the construction and execution of works on facilities, the cities of Novi Sad (1,741), Kragujevac (1,389) and Pančevo (945) were in the lead, while the municipality of Surčin issued the biggest number of permits, 588 in total.

The eConstruction Permits system is used by more than 5,300 employees in the authorities responsible for the issuance of permits for the construction, extension and reconstruction of facilities, as well as of other institutions taking part in this procedure, which issue the required approvals (fire protection, electricity, water, etc.). In addition to the above, more than 11,000 people have opened user accounts necessary for the electronic submission of applications through the Central Information System administered by the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
