The Serbian Business Registers Agency has released the Financial Statements Annual Bulletin for 2022, containing official aggregate data on the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs.

The Bulletin was compiled based on the preliminary aggregate data from the regular annual financial statements and statistical reports for 159,867 legal entities and 113,643 entrepreneurs, which had been entered into the database, in accordance with regulations.

In addition to the Bulletin, which contains data on the real sector, financial institutions and the non-profit sector, an analysis was also published, outlining basic findings on the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs in 2022.

The data published in the Bulletin provide the first comprehensive overview of the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs in the previous year. Notwithstanding the challenges the economy faced in 2022, the data shows that it operated with a positive net result of RSD 864,190 million, a 26.3% increase compared to last year. Furthermore, the number of employees increased as well. There were 5,375 more employees in 2022 and 1,281,412 were employed across companies.
