In the first half of the year, 27,579 business entities were registered in the Business Entities Register, 5,092 of which were companies and 22,487 were sole proprietors. Compared to the same period in 2022, 11.07% more sole proprietors and 9.34% fewer companies were incorporated.

In the first half of 2023, 17,751 business entities were struck off from the Register - 6,090 companies and 11,661 sole proprietors, meaning there were 9,90% fewer sole proprietors which were struck off, while there were three and a half times more struck-off companies, compared to the same time period last year. The increase in the number of struck-off companies in this period is due to the deletion of 4,196 companies, which was carried out in April, after the completion of the forced liquidation procedure prescribed by the Company Law.
