As of 1 October 2023, users have been provided access to a service that enables the submission of an electronic registration application for the incorporation of a company and the registration of data on the beneficial owner simultaneously.

Through software enhancements to the user applications "eRegistration of Business Entity Incorporation" and "Central Records of Beneficial Owners," founders of business entities are now given the option to record the data on the beneficial owner during the electronic process of incorporating a company.

If the founder chooses not to utilize this option, the legal representative of the business entity is obligated, within 15 days from the date of entry of the company into the Register of Business Entities, to record the data in the Central Records of Beneficial Owners. In this regard, the responsibility remains with the representative for recording the data within the prescribed deadline, ensuring the accuracy of the recorded data, as well as for maintaining appropriate, accurate, and up-to-date data and documents based on which the beneficial owner was recorded.

"With the introduction of new digital services, the Serbian Business Registers Agency continues to fulfill the goals it has set since its establishment - to continuously reform the registration system and enable the most efficient implementation of procedures related to starting a business and conducting registered business activities. Our ultimate goal is to introduce complete electronic registration as the fastest way to providing administrative services to the economy," Milan Lučić, director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency emphasized, announcing the Agency’s new service.
